1. Who We Are

Daily Dose is operated by Shalls Digital LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide a personalized AI-generated morning briefing service delivered to your email inbox every day at the time you choose. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at briefs@dailydosebriefs.com.

2. What We Collect

When you sign up for Daily Dose, we collect:

• Name - to personalize your brief
• Email address - to deliver your daily brief and account communications
• Phone number - for account verification via SMS
• Timezone - to schedule delivery at the right time for you
• Section preferences - the topics and settings you choose (weather city, market tickers, sports teams, etc.) to personalize your brief content
• Payment information - processed directly by Stripe; we do not store your card details

We also automatically collect basic usage data such as the date your brief was last sent, as well as email engagement data including whether you opened your brief and which links you clicked. This is done via tracking pixels and link tracking provided by our email delivery provider (Resend) to help us improve the service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or share this data with advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to:

• Generate and deliver your personalized morning brief
• Verify your identity during account creation
• Process your subscription payment
• Send transactional emails (subscription confirmations, billing receipts)
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing the Daily Dose service.

4. Third-Party Services

To operate Daily Dose, we share limited data with the following trusted services:

• Supabase - secure database storage for your account and preferences
• Stripe - payment processing. Stripe stores your payment method and billing details under their own Privacy Policy
• Resend - email delivery of your daily brief
• Twilio - SMS verification codes during account signup
• Anthropic — the AI model provider used to write your brief. Your first name and content preferences are included in the generation request. Per Anthropic's standard API terms, request data may be retained for a limited period for trust and safety purposes, and is not used to train AI models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

Daily Dose does not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. We use essential browser storage to keep you logged in and operate your account — this cannot be disabled without breaking login functionality. Stripe, our payment processor, may set cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and secure transactions; these are essential and governed by Stripe's policy. Our email delivery provider (Resend) uses a tracking pixel and link tracking in briefs, as described in Section 2.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription and request deletion, we will permanently delete your account data within 30 days. Stripe may retain billing records independently per their own retention policies and legal obligations.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure managed infrastructure, and access controls. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you promptly and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of any marketing communications (we send very few)

9. International Users

Daily Dose is operated from the United States and your data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. If you use Daily Dose from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with data protection rights, you may exercise the rights described in the "Your Rights" section by emailing us.

10. Children's Privacy

Daily Dose is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Daily Dose after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
